Am I a Zionist?

Since I have come out in support of Israel in the current conflict, I have been called a “Zionist” by many people online. But what does this word really mean? Is it the belief that Jews have a supernatural divine “right” to Israel because their god told them so? Is it the belief that Israel is the natural home of the Jews because their ancestors once lived there? Or is it the belief that Israel has the right to exist as a liberal rights-respecting country? In my latest YouTube video, I break down the history of the term Zionism and its many modern uses to explain why I and many others shy away from using the term in our pro-Israel advocacy.
